As for barrel length, no one barrel length is inherently more accurate as far as the gun, itself, should you put the gun in a machine rest. In other words, there can be as much raw accuracy in a short barrel as a long barrel. Different barrel lengths do affect how well we the shooter can squeeze accuracy out of the gun, though.
I am happy to do so as I use the program constantly. I have even downloaded hundreds of full length movies free, some that were not available or only available at high prices. Some I was looking for for years. Just a thought as I have seen many good videos get removed for various reasons and often wished I had saved them.
Here are my initial impressions: The gun is only 2 oz lighter than a Ruger Single Six with the same length barrel. It balances nicely and feels good in the hand. One complaint I've read is about how stiff the loading gate spring is. I either got an exception, or Ruger has listened and modified the spring in mid-production.
So I can experiment to find the right length. I wonder if our resident Henry guru has seen this and what was his fix? In this pic the spring and trigger are in the receiver. In the center is the spring in the trigger and just above it there is a scratched area on the receiver.
If I have to full length resize or run a case through the body sizer, I use the messy ol' lube pad with RCBS lube. Messy but effective. I put everything in the tumbler after deprime and size, so mess really doesn't bother me and all that oil's good for my ancient old hide. Molon Labe Kim
That is what I am thinking as a Wild build... cut down to just barely legal length and the original stock modified to make it similar to a Charger.
First is the way the legs are independently adjustable front to rear, as well as length. They have far more adjustability than the Harris units do. And it looks a lot cleaner, without all those springs hanging out everywhere. I never liked that about the Harris units. It doesn't hurt anything, but it just looks cheesy.
