The Burmese amber mines are know for their varied and higher quality amber pieces. If you put aside the ethical aspects of it. it is excellent and high quality Cretaceous amber. Chinese amber with inclusions is rare Burmese amber is much more abundant. i own some Burmese amber and they are often higher quality pieces for their age.

You almost want a feather touch when doing this. Amber and copal for those of you that like copal is soft. So too much pressure and speed can lead to heating, cracking, or deeper scratches that you will still have to remove… I prefer hand sanding for all but the final SOFT cotton polishing. It takes longer but it gives better control..

Amber isn't nearly as rare as some may think and many real specimens with insects are found and sold across the world. (More than 1% are genuine). More than 1% are genuine? Are more than 98% inauthentic? This is a sincere question. I would have assumed “1%” was a typo, but my knowledge of amber is too limited to make assumptions.
