I also have no DCOMM errors in my event log. Even after a few other update, reboots, those issues do not show up. But after the 1st 1709 reboot, there they are.

In a bolt gun, the .22-250 seems like the obvious choice. The problem is I’m curious to experiment with heavy for caliber bullets and it’s difficult to find an out of the box .22-250 with a twist rate faster than 1:12. Why not buy a .22-250 and change out the barrel with something custom? That sounds both costly and like a hassle.

FN's "machine gun steel" is a low alloy proprietary steel used to make M240 and M249 barrels. It is not the usual chromium-vanadium-molybdenum alloy used in most M16/M4 barrels. Is it better than chromium-vanadium-molybdenum alloy, probably a little better in resisting throat wear after continuous firing.
In that configuration (with and without sidesaddle, buttcuff, ect.) the gun works well for practical competition and defensive shotgun classes. Swapping from practical gun to clay gun takes only a minute or two.
