Tilikum (c. December 1981[1] – ), nicknamed Tilly, [2] was a captive male orca who spent most of his life at SeaWorld Orlando in Florida. He was captured in Iceland in 1983; about a year later, he was transferred to Sealand of the Pacific near Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. [3]
On , Tilikum — along with Kyuquot's mother, Haida II, and another Sealand orca, Nootka IV — forcibly submerged 20-year-old Sealand trainer Keltie Bryne after she fell into the whale pool.
Tilikum was the focus for the controversial 2013 documentary Blackfish, which detailed the killings and presented them as a direct result of the stress he endured while living in captivity.

Brancheau was giving Tilikum his usual post-show massage when the orca pulled her into the pool and forcibly submerged her.
